Investment Casting

Investment Casting, also known as precision or lost wax casting, is a highly advanced manufacturing process used to produce complex and high-precision metal components. The process begins with the creation of a wax pattern that replicates the final product. This pattern is then coated with multiple layers of refractory ceramic material to form a strong shell. Once the ceramic shell hardens, the wax is melted and drained out, leaving a hollow mold. Molten metal is then poured into the cavity to form the final casting.

This process is known for its ability to produce intricate shapes with tight tolerances and excellent surface finish, significantly reducing or eliminating the need for machining. It is particularly suitable for components with complex geometries, thin walls, and detailed features.
